I prefer to explore by ourself rather than by tour/travel (but we need those cheaper domestic transport anyway :p *read: tour/travel).
On our last tour day, we had to said good bye to the group and because we should headed to our hotel near grand bazaar. Our trip was extended to another domestic region, no other than, wait for it..... Selcuk, Izmir!
Our flight was on 8am on the next day, so we went to the airport at 6am *gosh
We got promotion ticket from turkish airline, and the plane from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Izmir Airport was only 90 lira/1 way (cheap isn't it?!). We got airbus series since many passengers were travelling to Izmir.
From Izmir we had 2 options, take a dolmus (local name for minibus) or train (there's 2 kinds of train, 1st diesel train (old), 2nd electric train (new) - sorry I forgot the name.
Since we missed both of the train schedule (our plane arrived at 9am), so from the airport we took bus to Izmir bus station , and from there we took dolmus to Selcuk.
I had no idea how hard it's going to be, I just believe on what I read on tripadvisor, lols.. and we survived guys, it wasn't hard at all I can tell ya!
From Selcuk dolmus station we just need to walk around 5 minutes to the hotel, we stayed at Livia Boutique Hotel (it is an awesome hotel, you have to try it guys!), simply visit their website or any booking web. Here's some pics of Livia:
